VINTAGE: Issued in 1999, this 8 3/4" tall stein features artist Gary Ciccarelli's representation of the historic St. Louis Brewery from 1900 to 1999. During the early 1900's, the Clydesdales were well known at the Anheuser-Busch brewery as powerful draft horses. In 1933, after prohibition, the Clydesdales made their modern day debut as representatives of Anheuser-Busch and Budweiser. "A Century of Tradition" depicts this transition of the World-Famous Clydesdales as they step proudly out of a sepia-tone 1900's postcard into a 1999 scene at historic St. Louis Brewery. Comes in original gift box. Made by Ceramarte of Brazil. There is a mark on the side in the sky, as shown in the photos, from the manufacturing process.
