The richly colored background, and detailed relief in each of the antique ceramic medals placed around the stein, showcases the awards won in 1876 in Philadelphia, 1883 in Amsterdam, 1884 in New Orleans, 1878 in Paris, 1893 in Chicago, 1898 in Vienna and 1904 in St. Louis.
