The modern day version of Santa Claus was created for The Coca-Cola Company by Haddon Sundblom, one of America's famous commercial artists. Sundblom painted more than 35 Santas for Coca-Cola. This 1947 Sundblom Santa was originally a cutout, used for floor or wall display, and was also incorporated into magazine and newspaper ads. Copyright dated 1990.
